Booktel is a hotel discovery platform — bookings are made directly with the hotel on its own website, so cancellations are handled by that hotel too, not by Booktel.

Where to Find Your Cancellation Terms

Each hotel sets its own cancellation terms — free cancellation, a cancellation fee, or a fixed number of free-cancellation days before check-in. These are shown on the hotel's website before you pay, and again in the confirmation the hotel sends you.

Common Policy Types

How to Cancel

Since your booking and payment are made directly with the hotel, cancellation requests must go to that hotel, using the contact details on its website or in your booking confirmation. Booktel does not process hotel booking cancellations and cannot cancel a booking on your behalf.

Refunds After Cancellation

Any refund due after a cancellation is issued by the hotel (or its payment provider), according to that hotel's own policy. See our Refund & Return Policy for how this works.

Hotel-Initiated Cancellations

If a hotel needs to cancel your confirmed booking (for example, due to an unexpected closure or overbooking), the hotel is responsible for notifying you and for any refund owed — please contact that hotel directly if this happens.

Date Changes

Need different dates instead of a cancellation? Contact the hotel directly — date changes are handled by the hotel case-by-case, based on its own availability and policies.
